Our Story
I’m Kenny Bozich, and my journey into leatherworking began in 2014 while touring as a drummer. Life on the road meant months away, followed by stretches of downtime at home while my wife was at work. I found myself searching for a creative outlet—something meaningful to fill the gaps between tours.
One fateful stop in a small Texas town changed everything. As I wandered through streets lined with small shops and artisans selling their handmade goods, I was deeply inspired by their craftsmanship and dedication. Their passion sparked something in me, and I carried that inspiration back home to Utah.
Determined to learn, I signed up for a basic leatherworking class at a small shop outside of town. I left with a handful of tools, some leather, and a vision. My first project—a simple wallet—took six failed attempts and a lot of wasted material before I finally held a finished product in my hands. But that moment lit a fire in me, and I knew this was more than just a hobby. It was the beginning of something bigger.
The Meaning Behind Our Name
As I set out to build a business, I wanted a name that reflected an era when craftsmanship was valued and hard work was a way of life. I’ve always been drawn to the Wild West—an age of innovation, resilience, and the pursuit of something greater. To me, it truly was the Golden Age—a time when people built things with their hands, creating quality goods meant to last. That’s how Golden Age Supply Co. was born.
